Recycled cPP Pellets (PIR): Properties, Applications, and Sourcing Guide

Cast polypropylene film waste, reprocessed into transparent PIR pellets — what procurement teams need to know before sourcing.
Cast polypropylene (cPP) film waste is generated during packaging, film converting, and industrial film manufacturing processes. Post-industrial cPP waste collected before consumer use is used as a feedstock source for recycled polypropylene (rPP) processing.
Regenport’s cPP PIR pellet is produced from post-industrial cast polypropylene film waste and reprocessed into transparent recycled PP pellets for compounding, extrusion, injection molding, and film-related applications.

What an MFI of 16.8 g/10min Means for PP Processing
An MFI (Melt Flow Index) of 16.8 g/10min represents a relatively high flowability range within polypropylene materials. MFI is commonly referenced in PP compounding, injection molding, and extrusion applications as an indicator of melt flow behavior.
When blending recycled PP pellets with other polypropylene materials, processing conditions such as temperature, injection speed, blending ratio, and production settings may require evaluation depending on product specifications and end-use requirements.
The material has a density of 0.9 g/cm³, which is within the commonly referenced density range for polypropylene materials.
Post-Industrial PP Feedstock from South Korea
The cPP feedstock is sourced from industrial film manufacturing operations in South Korea and collected before consumer use. The recovered polypropylene material is processed into recycled PP pellets for industrial plastic manufacturing and recycled content applications.
